Roughness Index Testing IRI Survey Vehicle Roughness IRI Laser Road Surface Profilometer
PRoduct description
The instrument is a new type of road surface testing instrument. It can be used for quality acceptance of under construction and reconstruction road surfaces, as well as for testing road surface flatness under normal traffic conditions without serious potholes, ruts, and other defects, and without water accumulation, snow accumulation, or mud.
The accuracy can reach up to 0.01mm, and the reliability measurement data generated for measuring the smoothness of asphalt pavement can be transmitted at high speed to a computer for processing through dedicated software, which can output calculation tables and waveform raw data.
The upper computer program of the laser road leveling instrument is a program software used in conjunction with the road leveling instrument host. The software can run on the Windows XP operating system to collect, store, print, process, calculate, and generate reports for further analysis
Working principle
Data collection: The vehicle travels at a constant speed (usually 20-80km/h), and the laser sensor scans the road surface at high frequency (such as 10-50kHz) to obtain a continuous elevation profile.
Dynamic compensation: IMU monitors the pitch, roll, and vertical displacement of the vehicle in real-time, and eliminates body motion interference through algorithms.
Data analysis: The software converts elevation data into flatness indicators (such as IRI) and can generate 3D pavement models or defect localization maps
Core advantages
Efficiency: Suitable for large-area rapid detection, with a speed much higher than traditional manual or manually pushed equipment.
High precision: The combination of laser and IMU can achieve sub millimeter level measurement, meeting international standards such as ASTM E950.
Real time performance: Some systems support real-time display of results, which facilitates on-site decision-making.
Compatibility: Data can be exported in common formats (such as CSV, XML) and integrated with road maintenance systems (such as PMS).
