Rock Core Slake Durability Test Apparatus
PRoduct description
Working principle:
Accelerate the process of rock disintegration through periodic soaking (simulating water absorption expansion) and rotary drying (simulating thermal expansion, contraction, and mechanical erosion). Measure the quality loss or particle distribution after each cycle to evaluate the durability of the rock.
Testing standards:
Common standards: ASTM D4644 (American Society for Testing and Materials), ISRM Recommended Methods, SL/T 264-2020 (China Water Industry Standard), etc.
Key parameters:
Usually test 2-10 cycles and record the disintegration rate (%)=(initial mass - remaining mass)/initial mass x 100%.

Application area

Geotechnical engineering: Evaluating the long-term stability of slopes and tunnel surrounding rocks.
Geological research: Analyze the rate and mechanism of rock weathering.
Building materials: Test the durability of stone materials, such as shale, mudstone, and other easily disintegrating rocks.
