Laboratory Bitumen Digital Rotational Brookfield Viscometer Testing Instrument

The automatic brookfield rotational viscometer is manufactured according to the test standard of the asphalt brookfield viscometer. The apparent viscosity of road asphalt in the temperature range above 45°C is measured in millipascal seconds (mPa﹒s) by the rotation method. According to the measurement results, the recommended mixing and compaction working temperature can be obtained. Compared with similar products, it has the advantages of high measurement accuracy, stable viscosity value display, easy reading, simple operation, and good anti-interference performance. It is specially used to measure the apparent viscosity of road asphalt. It can also be used to measure the viscosity of various fluids such as hot melt adhesives, paraffin, polymers, etc.

Operation points

1. Instrument installation: Install on a workbench without corrosive gas, strong electromagnetic interference, and vibration, and connect all components as required.

2. Rotor selection: Select a suitable rotor according to the viscosity range of the sample to be tested.

3. Constant temperature control: Place the rotor and sample tube together in a temperature-controlled oven for insulation. During the test, the asphalt sample is kept warm in the constant temperature container of the viscometer to reach the equilibrium temperature required for the test for no less than 15 minutes.

4. Speed selection: Control the torque reading of the Brookfield rotational viscometer within the range of 10% to 98%, the torque range of road asphalt is controlled between 20% and 70%, and the torque range of modified asphalt is controlled at about 50%.

Maintenance

1. Before and after use, the inner wall of the rotating drum and the measuring device should be cleaned and wiped dry to ensure the accuracy of the instrument measurement.

2. The storage place of the instrument should always be kept dry to prevent the internal parts of the instrument from being damaged by moisture.

3. The parts inside the instrument shall not be disassembled at will, and the hairspring is strictly prohibited from being disassembled to avoid affecting the accuracy of the instrument.
