Asphalt Marshall Compression Machine Automatic Marshall Stability Tester

Used for Marshall stability test and water-immersion Marshall stability test to design the mix ratio of asphalt mixture or inspect the quality of asphalt pavement construction. The water-immersion Marshall stability test (vacuum saturated water Marshall test can also be performed as needed) is used to test the ability of asphalt mixture to resist peeling when damaged by water, and to test the possibility of mix ratio design by testing its water stability.

Used to determine the thermal stability and resistance to plastic deformation of asphalt mixture - stability and flow value. Provide accurate basis for the composition and mix ratio design of asphalt mixture. Can measure stability and flow value.

    Instrument composition

Includes host, force measuring device, flow value measuring device, printing device and related accessories. The host can complete a variety of vertical load tests by making a small change and equipping accessories.

    Performance characteristics

    1. Automatic function: can automatically load, stop, display data, collect data, judge peak value, hold peak value, and print data and curves.

    2. Circuit design: It uses separation of strong and weak current, digital and analog. Most of the electronic components are industrial products, with a wide operating temperature range, stable performance, good repeatability, and strong anti-interference ability.

    3. Protection function: It has triple self-protection functions of hardware and software to ensure safe and reliable testing.

    4. Design concept: Using modular design, each functional module is relatively independent, which is convenient for repair and maintenance.

    Precautions for use

    1. The power ground wire must be grounded separately, and the pressure and flow value sensor plugs cannot be plugged in incorrectly.
    2. When the power grid interference is large or the voltage is unstable, it is recommended to equip with an AC purification power supply or a voltage stabilizer.
    3. The load control line and the printer cable cannot be stressed, and the instrument should not share a power socket with high-power electrical appliances.
    4. The instrument should be placed in a dry place to avoid frequent unplugging of connectors. In humid areas, the sensor should be stored in a drying box.

    FAQ(Frequently Asked Questions)

    1. Standards & Test Method Compliance
Q: Which international test methods and specifications does this Automatic Marshall Stability Tester meet?
A: This testing machine strictly complies with ASTM D6927, ASTM D5581, AASHTO T245, EN 12697-34, and BS 598-107. It automatically measures the peak load (Marshall Stability) and plastic deformation (Marshall Flow) of asphalt concrete mixtures for both standard 4-inch (101.6 mm) and large-stone 6-inch (152.4 mm) specimens.

    2. Load Capacity, Rate of Displacement & Measurement Accuracy
Q: What are the load cell capacity, platen speed, and displacement measurement tolerances?
A:Load Capacity & Accuracy: Equipped with a high-precision S-beam load cell with a capacity of 50 kN (11,240 lbf) (100 kN optional for 6-inch cores) and a measurement accuracy of ±1% of reading.
Loading Rate: Platen travel speed is electromechanically driven at a constant 50.8 ± 1.0 mm/min (2.0 inches/min) per ASTM/AASHTO specifications.
Flow Measurement: High-resolution LVDT linear transducer (0–20 mm range) with a precision of 0.01 mm (0.1 Marshall Flow units).

    3. Automation, Peak Capture & Software Capabilities
Q: How does the system handle peak detection, graph plotting, and data management?
A:Automatic Peak & Break Detection: The microprocessor controller automatically detects peak load and corresponding flow value, records specimen failure point, stops loading, and returns the platen to the starting position.
Display & Data Storage: Color digital touchscreen displays real-time Load vs. Deformation curves. The internal memory stores hundreds of test records.
Export Options: Direct USB and RS-232/Ethernet output for transferring raw test data and summary reports into Excel, CSV, or printable PDF formats without dedicated external software.

    4. Breaking Heads, Accessories & Multi-Test Capability
